Conventional experts
While American waistlines grow larger and their health deteriorates under an unprecedented wave of diseases such as diabetes (Pre and Type II), heart disease, obesity and metabolic syndrome, the conventional experts still base whether a person is “healthy” or not on such factors as Body Mass Index or weight.
Not all bodies are created equal, which is why what makes up the body is of more importance than just weight. In short, the composition of a person’s body, their amount of lean muscle tissue versus the total amount of body fat tells us a much different health story.
The composition of the person is changed by reducing stored fat and percentage of body fat. By increasing lean muscle mass at the same time, we increase the person’s ability to use energy and the muscle becomes more noticeable because the layer of fat that previously covered it is reduced. This gives the appearance of “tone”.
Calories in calories out
Body fat is treated as inflammation in the body. It can be a storage site for toxins, causes excess wear and tear on joints, and of course is unsightly. Internal body fat, referred to as visceral fat, in the stomach area is linked to insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease.
The second problem is that the “weight loss” world bases its whole methodology on a basic equation of calories in and calories out. In short, if you take in fewer calories than you expend (burn), you will lose weight. There are a number of problems with this flawed approach, but most importantly this cookie cutter method does not work for all people. The same thing is true for virtually every single “diet” out in the market; they tout one strategy for everyone.
However, both of these methods ignore one simple premise, everyone is unique. Each person, due to genetics and environmental factors, utilizes food in different ways. We call this “body chemistry”. Some people can eat a diet high in carbohydrates and remain thin and lean.
Others following the same diet will get fat. Some can get lean on very few carbohydrates, feel energetic, think clearly, and sleep well, etc. While others feel sluggish, tired, and because of the higher levels of dietary fat in the diet due to a lack of carbohydrates, they too can gain extra fat.
Sensing unique requirements
Our proven online technology uses a scientific algorithm which takes into account different values and body chemistry to mathematically compute the exact amount of calories a person needs, and then develops meal plans with nearly endless choices, customized to fit each user’s specific nutrition formula and preferences.
As a user’s body composition changes, Slimtronics' technology automatically adjusts the user’s diet to ensure optimal metabolic function and continued results. Just like with body composition, where different people can have a wide range of values of lean muscle tissue to stored body fat, likewise one person’s nutrition plan can be greatly different from the next person.
